The job safety analysis (JSA) process is the heart of a proactive occupational safety and health programme. The purpose of a job safety analysis is to ensure potential hazards, related to a specific project or activity, are anticipated, and abated before beginning work. The job safety analysis is an invaluable tool for managers and supervisors to use in meeting their obligation to prevent employee exposure to health and safety hazards.
The best job hazard analyses are those that are focused, complete, clearly documented, communicated to employees, and implemented. The purpose of this module is to help make that happen.
