GIZ - Advisory Service for Environmental Management
ASEM is a joint programme of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) Government of India and the German International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Germany, focusing on urban and industrial environmental management in India. ASEM supports and coordinates projects (technically and financially) providing environmentally, economically and socially viable solutions which create win-win situations for all stakeholders. ASEM focuses on six major thrust areas, namely, Sustainable Industrial Development, Sustainable Urban Development, Sustainable Environmental Governance, Sustainable Consumption and Consumer Protection and the cross cutting areas Climate Change and Human Resource Development.
