Prepare authors and future administrators for the use of the HRDP-Platforms as a tool for the “Capacity and Human Resource Development Management”.

They are able to handle the documentation of training events, workshops and conferences, are able to structure the workspace and can add text, pictures and fill the data base for participants and key persons.
  2. Authors can handle the
    • knowledge management system and the required (Taxonomy System with Knowledge Objects (or Taxonomy Object), Taxonomy Categories and Taxonomy Values;
    • the Management Information System and
    • new features developed in the last 3 month (like news objects, knowledge pool).
  3. For NCDC, NIDM and DMI it is planned to have at least one participants who will get the skills for administrator rights.

The Hands on Training course will work with 3 different groups of participants simultaneously.

1.    Group 1 are trainees that have their first exposure to the platform and to online training management (NIDM and visiting participants): they will get the basic skills to manage the content of the platform. Within the first 2 days they know most of the handling skills and subsequently participate in more advanced topics.

2.    Group 2 are trainees that are already working professionally with the platform (NCDC and DMI): they will refresh their basic skills and are introduced to revised tools and possibilities and will improve the “user guidance”, apply details of layout and data management, discuss and solve problems and improve work efficiency. They will improve their existing skills by assisting group 1.

3.    Group 3 are trainees that already have profound working knowledge (IGEP): they will have special sessions for their new institutional platform, discuss and solve problems and improve work efficiency. They will improve their existing skills by assisting group 1 and 2.

For all groups there is a core subject, the knowledge system. This cross cutting issue will be trained in detail (adapted to the experience and skills of each participant and the degree of development of the Taxonomy Categories and the Taxonomy Values of the platform.

Each participant will work on the platform of their sending institutions.

The exercises for the final test will be adapted for each participant. It is planned that the results will be presented to the other participants and invited audience on Friday the 18th after lunch.

VoIP guidance and training will continue for at least 6 more months. Work-groups and guidance service will be facilitated so that one group of experienced platform managers will support the less experienced.

The participants will manage the content of the platforms independently:
