Description of contents/agenda

It has been observed that integration of EIA with On-site / Off-site emergency management plans is missing; hence this training will help in bridging this gap. Beside, the program envisaged the following gaps in existing knowledge.

  • Integration of environment with chemical disaster management in sitting of industries / industrial estates
  • Environmental Risk Assessments & post disaster effects on environment
  • Assessment of environmental damage by disasters & decontamination processes
  • Missing information on potential chemical disasters risks due to industrial development to local community

The proposed training will help us in reducing the above gaps and strengthening the chemical disaster risk reduction along with sound environmental management.
On successful completion of this training programme, it is expected that the target groups would be able to integrate the environmental issues with chemical disaster risk reduction and preparedness.
